Using the High Velocity Dryer
Using a high velocity dryer can save you lots of time if you are bathing and grooming your standard poodle yourself.
There are several good brands on the market but it is best to get one that has at least two power settings. When you are first getting your standard poodle adjusted to it, use the lowest setting (otherwise you may blow him off the table). As he becomes accustomed to it you can start setting it on high.
It's always best to start at the back legs blowing forward and moving rour way up the body, always blowing forward. You will also be able to see any mats, skin irritations, tics or fleas using this dryer. You can learn to loosen and blow out fairly loose mats also.
